Annual Conference Abstract Submission Guide

 

We welcome abstract submissions for oral and poster presentations at the Annual Conference. Submissions may include original research, success stories, improvement projects, or keynote lectures of invited speakers. Please follow the structure outlined below when preparing your abstract.
General Guidelines (Applicable to All Abstracts)

• Abstracts must be written in clear English and be provided as a word document.

• Word limit: 250-300 words (excluding title, authors, and keywords).

• Title should be concise and informative (use sentence case).

• Provide the full name(s) and institutional affiliation(s) of all authors, and email address of the presenting author(s).

• Conflicts of interest and funding sources should be declared if present.

• Abstracts will be peer-reviewed. Selection will be based on originality, clarity, scientific merit, and relevance to the conference’s main topics.

• Authors will be notified of acceptance decision and presentation type (oral, poster, or e-poster) through email.

 

The presenting author(s) of accepted abstracts are required to register for the conference and complete the appropriate payment.

1. Original Research Abstracts

Structure:

1. Background: Rationale and study objectives.

2. Methods: Study design, setting, participants, interventions, and analysis.

3. Results: Key findings with relevant data/statistics.

4. Conclusion: Main takeaways, implications for practice or policy.

2. Success Stories / Best Practices

Structure:

1. Context: Background and setting; problem or need addressed.

2. Intervention / Approach: Actions taken; strategies implemented.

3. Outcome / Impact: Results achieved, lessons learned, challenges overcome.

4. Conclusion / Recommendations: Relevance and transferability to other settings.

3. Improvement Projects

Structure:

1. Problem Statement: The issue targeted for improvement.

2. Objectives: Clear and measurable aims.

3. Methods / Strategy: Framework or model used (e.g., PDSA cycles).

4. Results: Key process and outcome measures before and after the intervention.

5. Lessons Learned / Next Steps: Sustainability, scalability, and recommendations.

4. Keynote / Invited Lectures (applicable for invited speakers only)

Structure:

1. Overview: Summary of the lecture’s theme and objectives.

2. Key Points: Three to four main arguments or topics to be covered.

3. Relevance: Connection to the conference theme.

4. Expected Take-Home Message: What the audience will gain.

Formatting Requirements:

– Font: Times New Roman, size 12, single spacing.

– Abbreviations: Define on first use.

– Tables/figures: Not permitted.

– References: Avoid, unless essential.

Submission Instructions

• Submit your abstract as an attachment via the official mail conference info@esicegy.org

• Indicate the abstract type (research, success story, improvement project, keynote) in the email subject.

• Clearly state whether you are applying for an oral or poster presentation (if applicable).

• Ensure your submission is received before the deadline.

• Delegates who send their abstracts by e-mail will receive a notice to confirm receipt.

• Authors will be notified of acceptance decision and presentation type (oral or poster presentation) via email with an attached acceptance letter.

Note: Each author may submit more than one abstract, but a separate submission is required for each.
