•ESIC started IC activities in Egypt over 30 years
ago (in 1985)
•In 1992 ESIC was established officially as
a nonprofit NGO under the umbrella of
Ministry of Social Solidarity.
•ESIC was a cofounder of IFIC
•ESIC was a cofounder of ICAN
At National level
A- ESIC participated with the Egyptian Ministry of
Health & Population in the development of the
Egyptian National Guidelines of Infection
Control (2000 – 2002)
-In collaboration with the:
•United States Agency for International Development
(USAID)
•EMRO/WHO
•US Naval Medical Research Unit
